My summer style guide

Having spent time over the years, building a wardrobe that I want to wear again and again, I tend to wear similar items every summer, and only invest in a few pieces to keep my closet fresh. I therefore have a few go-to brands that have aided me in my warm weather style decisions, so I have created a summer shop selection to help you with yours! It is now live here. But before you head over to the shop, I’m going to share a few of my favourite brands, summer staples and what I currently have in my shopping basket to inspire your next investment purchase for summer.

My summer staples and favourite brands

One of the main items is of course a basket bag, not just because I live in Paris and any Parisian worth their salt will have a good basket bag a la Jane Birkin, but they are also very useful. They’re perfect for running errands, food shopping and of course for taking to the beach - I bought my Loewe bag (size medium) a few summers ago and it has been one of my best investments; next are flat leather slides, specifically from ATP Atelier (I now have a least six pairs); swimsuits from Hunza G (I have my eye on this set) as they are incredibly flattering on every body type and I also really love Solid & Striped. New-ish brands Fisch, Isa Boulder also do beautiful styles. I always have a pair of denim shorts to run around in from Citizens of Humanity and Agolde; linen and cotton shirts from Arket and Citizens of Humanity, dresses from Ganni (you might remember this seersucker style that I wear every summer), Doen - I bought this one in the sale a few months ago (I also have a summer dress edit, you can find it here); sunglasses from Les Specs, I also love Bottega Veneta; I love short skirts as they’re so versatile (see my skirt edit here). And finally another summer staple is certainly a good straw hat, by the likes of Janessa Leone to protect my face from the sun while I’m sunbathing.

Recent additions

In my shopping basket and on my wishlist

This everyday linen skirt, this matching set (top & skirt), this navy swimsuit, this linen ‘pop over’ shirt and I’ve just pre-ordered this backless linen dress.

I hope this has inspired you to shop a little more thoughtfully for summer and I hope you are enjoying the sunshine wherever you are!
