Style Edit: Summer Stripes

Stripes have been a wardrobe staple for me as long as I can remember. The humble striped tee or the Breton top as it is better known in fashion, is just so versatile - it goes with everything, even with more stripes. I love having a few key striped pieces in my seasonal wardrobe - I have striped shirts that I use as cover-ups during summer by the pool, or I wear them on their own during warmer spring days, untucked with a pair of wider legged white jeans or chinos. There’s something so effortless about this look that makes it looks very put together, even though it is in fact so easy to wear. I’ve also recently discovered the merits of an oversized striped tee like this one by Tôteme that I’m wearing in the photo. An oversized style is just a little more chic as it leaves more to the imagination and looks great tucked into a pair of pants, shorts or a skirt, and this one in particular with a beige stripe is a great alternative to the classic navy or black (à la Coco Chanel). So below is my edit of the best pieces to wear through summer and beyond.
