Interior Inspiration: A Sydney townhouse designed by AP Design

As I design my space at home, my new series is helping me to cement and also reveal to you a little more about my style and taste. There is certainly a running theme - a neutral palette layered with unique vintage and antique treasures and sometimes a pop of colour and pattern. While this featured home remains firmly in the neutral camp, I love the subtle, but unexpected muted patterns such as the blue and white ‘toile de jouy’ upholstered headboard and valance, and the ticking stripes on the Os de mouton dining chairs. And of coures I also love the rest of its European influence; a French rope mirror (presumably) designed by Audoux Minet, Thonet chairs and the Italian Barovier & Toso ‘Rostrato’ glass sconces and light fixtures, which brought together create a calming, yet instantly interesting space that I’d love to move into.

AP Design studio created by Alexandra Ponting is a new find, but her minimalist aesthetic, mixed with vintage and unexpected elements represents exactly the kind of look I’m going for in my own home. I hope you enjoy it and you can scroll down for a few items to help you recreate the style!
