Home Edit: Photo Frames

Some of the most beautiful homes I’ve visited are aesthetically pleasing to look at because they appear very lived in and reflect their owners’ taste and personalities. One of the most obvious ways to do this is to add unique objects, such as art, books, mirrors, artistic light fixtures and of course photo frames with personal photos that help to tell a home’s story!

I’ve always been passionate about photography and it’s one of the reasons I started my blog when I moved to Paris. As a result I have lot of photos! Some of them make it here or on my Instagram feed, but over the years the majority of them have remained on my laptop or camera role. So this year, I’ve made it one of my personal projects to print photos and frame them, to not only add interest to our space, but also a true personal touch! We have a mini hallway that connects the living space with the bedrooms and bathroom, which is currently a dead-space. I’d like to fill the walls with some memories to make it feel more cosy and lived in. So I’ve spent the last few weeks picking photos to print and scouring the internet for vintage and unique frames. I’ve found a few beauties, which I’ve had a lot of questions about, so I thought I would share a few of my finds with you.

In terms of printing services, I’ve used a couple - Photobox and Lalalab in France, but Artifact Uprising is the best one I’ve found so far in terms of quality. Of course you pay for the quality and it is quite pricey and best reserved for the ones you really want to frame and not just snaps to stick on the fridge. I printed mine onto card - so they are literally postcards, but I really like the finish.
