Home Edit: Spring table styling

With the days slowly getting longer and the blooming of spring flowers - I’m starting to come out of my hosting hibernation. It feels like time to dust off the dinnerware and cutlery and start inviting friends to ours again. And with Easter just around the corner, now is the perfect time to start refreshing your table for future soirées.

With spring tablescaping, the key is starting with a neutral base and then building. Starting with these neutral linens allows you to choose more interesting tableware, but also allows breathing space for your delicious spring creations to shine! And with spring greens coming into season, such as asparagus - this makes it easy to create beautiful, vibrant and delicious meals (spring recipe coming soon!).

Building from this neutral base, you can add interest through color or texture via your serving ware. For colorful and interesting pieces, I keep finding myself drawn to Bordallo Pinheire, who make artful plates and platters in the shape of leaves or vegetables. Or make the most of the season and bring in color with fresh flowers by adding them to the center of the table. I’ve added a few vases here, but I would suggest taking a look at the Spring vase edit for an exhaustive list of ideas to hold your centerpiece. Although (in Paris at least), it seems as though tulips have become available all year round, they are at their prime this time of year and never fail to make an excellent focal point.

Finally, choosing neutral glassware and ceramics doesn't have to mean boring! Keeping your palette muted gives you space to work with textures. Astier de Villatte are always great for interesting ceramics. And glassware is always an excellent space for experimenting, I love this luxury looking, yet very affordable carafe from La Redoute for example. And I recently received this gorgeous resin serving dish that I’ve had my eye on for a while from Dinosaur Designs that is adding a pretty marbled pattern in earthy colors to my table.

I hope the products below help with this refresh and you enjoy setting your table for Easter!
