Style Edit: timeless and elegant summer dresses

Hope you’re surviving the heat! Like most of Europe, Paris is currently experiencing a heatwave, so anything light and airy and preferably a dress is the only thing I want to wear right now. Whilst I’m usually quite happy in the heat - above 35 degrees in the city is a bit much even for me. Attempting to work in 40 degrees (today) is not easy for the focus or for doing anything really, so I thought I’d work on something a little more fun: my selection of summer dresses you can wear now or take on holiday - a selection of easy breezy, elegant and timeless styles - forever pieces that include linen and light cotton that can be dressed up or down depending on your summer itinerary.

I love a simple summer dress - like this one I’m wearing in the photos (sadly now sold out) or anything linen which will keep you cooler in the heat. My go to brands that tick these boxes are Matteau (I just ordered a two piece top and skirt set in the Matches sale, but this puffed sleeve dress is also in my wishlist), Arket, COS, Faithful the Brand, Dôen, Apiece Apart (this smock white style is beautiful), Sir the Label, Pixie Market (I re-wore this white linen ‘Beatrice’ style with cut out sides and back a couple of days ago that I snapped up last year), Whistles (this light gingham style is lovely) and I’ve just ordered a couple of dresses from Australian brand, DISSH.

Here’s my edit below - hope it will make your shopping a little easier, especially in this heat!
