WHY YOU NEED A WRAP DRESS

I'll admit I'm a little late to the wrap dress party. I think I only started wearing them a couple of years ago, having misconstrued them as more mumsy than chic. How wrong I was.

Invented in the 70s by fashion icon, designer and all round super woman, Diane Von Furstenberg, the wrap dress has been a staple piece of women's wardrobes for decades - perhaps that's why I thought it was a little dated. But a slew of brands (Ganni, Rouje and Rixo to name a few) have updated perhaps fashion's hardest working dress in recent years and it is now just as cool as when it was first started sauntering down the catwalks. The wrap dress is by far the most flattering style for all body types. It accentuates the waist and bust, helps hide the bulges and creates curves where they are lacking. And they are sexy without being too revealing. I'm glad I saw the error of my ways. So I'm celebrating the wrap dress - if you don't own one, buy one now, if you do, well, buy more. This style will see you through any occasion (I'm thinking upcoming weddings or season, and you can dress it down with plimsoles during the day or wear in the evening with heels (espadrilles in summer.) Do you own one?

I'm wearing this green Rouje number which is sadly sold out (other colours available), but I've picked a few of my favourites below to help you with your buying choices.
