Khaki Green
Photographed in Place Dauphine, Paris.
In my quest to buy less, but better, I've resurrected my khaki trousers that I bought from Zara last year (similar here). They are not only the perfect transitional pant between spring and summer as they're lightweight (perhaps only fit for the evening in Paris as the city has been a scorcher this past week), but they also go with literally everything! I'd call them a wardrobe essential.
In the past I've worn them with flats and a white tee (I wouldn't do double khaki, unless you want to look like you're going on safari). For this post I decided to dress them up with wedged espadrilles (another summer staple), this Isabel Marant silk top that I scored for half price on The Outnet that taps into this season's boho trend (an item that I also hope to have for a long time) and the (blogger) bag of the moment, Simon Miller's bucket style in black suede - which is not so trendy or dripped in hardware that it will look dated in a few years. Et voila, my go-to spring/summer look that's perfect for evenings or day events that might even see your through 'til next year! Is khaki a style staple for you? Scroll down for my top khaki picks.
