Copenhagen Part 1: Botanisk Have

Botanisk Have went to the top of my must-visit list after seeing various snaps pop up on Instagram of a beautiful white iron staircase surrounded by lush green tropical plants, inside a giant domed greenhouse. Having arrived in Copenhagen the day before, to spend four glorious days frolicking around the city for my birthday, and to take as many photos as humanly possible (obviously the real reason for the trip!), we got up early on  Saturday (post a boozy dinner at Höst the night before) to head off exploring. With the weather undecided between cloudy and cloudy with spurts of rain (not ideal for cycling), I decided that after a coffee at Atelier September, that now would be a good time to saunter over to the botanical gardens,  to pose on the staircase amongst the foliage. Living on a busy boulevard in Paris, in the middle of the 10th arrondissement, doesn't afford much greenery, so exploring the botanical gardens was easily the closest I was going to come to the hanging gardens of Babylon for a while. Not meaning to colour-coordinate, I dressed in grey, white and green for the occasion and happily blended into my surroundings like a chameleon. Cue David Attenborough voice over and a million photos.
