Rue Rodier x Pinterest x Maisons du Monde

I've had an affinity with interiors and interior design since I was a child. I've always been interested in aesthetics and the things we surround ourselves with in our homes since as long as I can remember - a passion passed down through my parents, particularly my father, who has a keen interest in contemporary art. I was very fortunate as an only child that I was given two rooms to decorate growing up (I know, but it was only for a few years...) : my bedroom and a study with a sofa bed and TV, where I would hang out with friends. I would spend hours thinking about and creating sketches on how best to decorate these rooms; how to rearrange the furniture (under the watchful eyes of my parents) and what to hang on the walls. As I've gotten older this passion has trickled into aspects of my work, not only as a photographer but also into this blog as I love interviewing inspiring women within their interior spaces.

So with all this in mind, I'm incredibly excited to announce that I will be a judge for new competition to design your idea of the 'perfect cosy bedroom' hosted by Pinterest France in partnership with Maisons du Monde and Deco.fr. You (France based only) have two weeks to design your ideal bedroom on Pinterest, following these steps:

• Step 1: Create a board named Ma Chambre Cosy Parfaite ('My Perfect Cosy Room')
• Step 2: Pin your ideas and inspirations from Deco.fr, Pinterest and Maisons du Monde to your board
• Step 3: on 21 September, 5 interiors bloggers (including me!) will choose their favourite 3 boards 
• Step 4: on 27 September the three finalists will have the opportunity to create their perfect bedroom in the largest Maisons du Monde boutique in Paris. The winner will receive 2500 euros of vouchers to spend at Maisons du Monde and create their perfect bedroom!
